چکیده

The metal-polymer contact interface plays a major role in the conduction and breakdown process flexible dielectrics. Enhancing barrier heights has been investigated for effectively blocking charge injection thus impeding degradation of dielectrics field. However, electronic band structure at metal-dielectric its relationship with electrical insulation properties are still not well understood due to complex morphological details interfacial region. Here, we determine height profiles various sets metal electrodes dielectric polymers systems by utilizing photo current method. Our results reveal that all aromatic tend have lower than aliphatic polymers, believe chemical prominent determining heights. Additionally, an important trend polymers/metal configurations found those higher glass transition temperatures feature however correlations uncovered this work unveil effective approach rational modifying build can efficiently block reliable performance elevated temperatures.

Critical current of a superconductor measured via injection of spin polarized carriers

In this paper we report a direct evidence of the suppression of critical current due to pair-breaking in a superconducting micro-bridge when the measurement is carried out by injecting spin polarised carriers instead of normal electrons. A thin layer of La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 was used as the source of spin polarised carriers. The micro-bridge was formed on the DyBa2Cu3O7-δ thin film by photo-lithograph...

Schottky barrier heights of Pt and lr silicides formed on Si/SiGe measured by internal photoemission

Lowered-barrier-height silicide Schottky diodes are desirable for obtaining longer cutoff-wavelength Si-based infrared detectors. Silicide Schottky diodes have been fabricated by the reaction of evaporated Pt and Ir films on p-Si,-.Ge, alloys with a thin Si capping layer. The onset of metal-SiGe reactions was controlled by the deposited metal thickness. Internal photoemission measurements were ...

Metal induced gap states and Schottky barrier heights at non–reactive GaN/noble metal interfaces

We present ab-initio local density FLAPW calculations on non–reactive N– terminated [001] ordered GaN/Ag and GaN/Au interfaces and compare the results (such as metal induced gap states and Schottky barrier heights) with those obtained for GaN/Al, in order to understand the dependence of the relevant electronic properties on the deposited metal. Our results show that the density of gap states is...

Virtual electrode current injection using seismic focusing and seismoelectric conversion

S U M M A R Y Acoustic wavefields produced using sources appropriately delayed in time can be focused at known positions and times in a heterogeneous medium. Seismoelectric conversion occurs if the acoustic focus point coincides with a discontinuity in electrical and hydrological medium properties, thus generating a current density. The current generates a potential difference, which can be obs...

Probing polymer/polymer interfaces.

Infrared-visible sum frequency generation spectroscopy (SFG) has been used to study the interface between poly(vinyl-N-octadecylcarbamate-co-vinyl acetate) (Comb) and deuterated or hydrogenated polystyrene (dPS or hPS) films. Strong methyl symmetric and Fermi resonance bands associated with the alkyl side chains of the Comb polymer are observed in the SFG spectra. In addition, for Comb/hPS spec...
